(i.) The NASA convention i.e. the annual gathering (Dec, 2008) of the students of Architecture was held at MNIT, Bhopal. The students from Ist yr., IInd yr and IIIrd yr. participated in this mega event and competed with the other 125 colleges of Architecture allover India.They bagged three prizes by participating in some of the “on the spot activities.” (ii) The group further proceeded for the educational study tour to some of the heritage sites at Bhopal, and they also visited Sanchi to study the Buddhist Stupa and then Vidisha to have a look at the Rock – Cut Caves. In Ahmedabad they studied the beat of the modern Architecture by visiting institutional buildings CEPT, IIM & NID etc in contrast to the Jain Architectural style of Dilwara Temple at Mount Abu. While at Udaipur and Jaipur they studied Medieval Architecture by visiting Palaces, Forts, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar etc. With this trip they were well acquainted with some of the styles of Architecture that were prevalent at different ages.
